Length of EoTN for Brotherhood armor
Hello everyone!
I got to playing GW not too long ago, since I love GW2 and the lore that surrounds it. I really want the Sohothin skin for GW2 so I can pair it with Jormag's Breath and I'm currently sitting at 8 HoM points after just beating Factions. Now I'm trying to get the last 2 and since I'm 2 companion statues away ( I have M.O.X., Black Moa, and animal companion) in the Fellowship category for 5 statues. I've decided to get Brotherhood armor so I can dedicate 2 heroes, as I can easily just buy 2 cloths of brotherhood from players, but I'm wondering how long the EoTN quests will take since I need to get to Destruction's Depths to even get to the vendor in the first place. I'd like to know an estimated time of primarily doing the main quests for EoTN so I can manage my time while playing. From casually playing; only doing a couple side quests, and sometimes idling to research ingame and HoM stuff, I believe I beat Factions in about 35~ hours with heroes and henchmen. I don't know the length of the EoTN campaign but definitely think it's harder than the others, which may make it seem longer, depending on your skill.
From reading the wiki, it says you can reach the Central Transfer Chamber (which is the outpost that you want) by tagging along with a party doing Destruction's Depths. So, if you want, you can meet me in the Eye of the North outpost and we can do it together. My IGN is Schmerdro Ravissen and I can generally play in the afternoon or night, UTC -4. Can't give you an estimate because I'm a completionist. However, consider that there may be other/better ways of getting those two points. A rare minipet or an oppressor weapon will get you two points. If you haven't already, get and sell the free zkeys. That should take care of any financial concerns. You can sell the Amulet of the Mists too if you don't want any of the items. You'll need another tapestry to activate another monument though, so you'll need to either buy one (<5k) or complete one of the EotN storylines.
If you're interested in the story/lore you may not want to skip the entire of EotN by prematurely tagging along on Destruction's Depths.

I think the EotN campaign is the easiest in the game. And the most fun for sure for me. The only hard part is the dungeon you have to go through BEFORE the Destruction's Depth mission. "Heart of the Shiverpeaks" it is called. Look over the wiki on that one before you do it. The boss at the end can, depending on where it spawns in it's area etc, be a real pain to kill. You may need some consumables, death penalty removers and anti-fire skills. (Sometimes I just waltzed through this boss with no problem and didn't even have to flag my heroes at all; other times I was there about an hour trying to get it done every which way).
Also here is the links to the EotN main missions "tree" on wiki that might help you: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/List_...imary_ques ts and the write-up about the end boss of "Heart of the Shiverpeaks" (Cyndr) http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Cyndr_the_Mountain_Heart BTW one reason I say EotN is the easiest area to get through is that it is very forgiving if you die in mission since you just rez and keep going. And there is no clock timer like some of the Factions missions or splitting your party up to tackle a couple of areas at once like some of the Nightfall missions. I hate hate hate Dzagonur Bastion though weirdly the Factions split one -- Eternal Grove -- never bothered me. So it has a lot to do with what you find hard or easy I guess. But if you have a little patience you can slough your way through the North just fine without dealing with stuff like that. And I salute your attitude of wanting to play through to earn your points. There are some who come on this board just to beg for freebies and easy points with no desire to play any of the game if they can avoid it. I think it's great to have someone like you wanting to learn as you earn and showing some respect for the game in the process. I raise a tankard of grog to ya!
